Happy fetivuss you all!
Another year is quickly winding down… and at my ripe age it winds fast… Weird how fast these days fly.
It really makes me think that each day I must accomplish something nice for someone…that’s a big change considering that I deal with realtors every day… the problem with this profession is the darn realtors. Some of them really should get help! Be that as it may I try to bite my tongue but as you all know that is one tough task for this outspoken boy.
So another 6 month’s to go on my boat giveaway… I got two clients going for it hard so far… Ritchie and Maki… both with 4 referrals or buy/sells. There are three or four clients with two and believe me it wont take much to catch those other two guys, considering one is moving out of town.  Please, for my sake and yours the next time you are in conversation with a fellow employee or family member and they say they want to buy or sell… tell them about me… I believe that I am the best and also believe that it has been proven to you. Whether it is to get the boat or not please pass on my name, even better is to get their permission for me to call them; you call me, I know where the referral came from and bingo bango I find them a home.
You may have seen ReMax realtors advertising a free cruise with each listing… hmmm. What can I say… free yes once you pay to get to San Diego or San Fran stay overnight each way then get home…free NOT.… My next giveaway after the boat will be a trip for two ALL EXPENSIS to somewhere grand… maybe a couple of choices. I am thinking that those that do not win the boat will be auto entered with one existing entry… then who ever has the most referrals in a year gets the trip…. Maybe Europe… or Asia… let me know where you would like to go. I have had to remove the boat giveaway from my site I figure that the info was to personal, and my X was figuring that if I can give away a boat why don’t I give her more…Call me if you want details as to who has what
Something else I have started is my Christmas gift thank you program, a gift for some of my clients..  I laid out all clients from day one on a list, and drew 7 names… each of those folks will get a gift delivered from me. I have wet vacs, toaster ovens, power tools and so on… If you have a happy face stamped on this letter …you win… see you soon

It has been a wonderful year working with my client/friends Tammy and Gord Leary. They own the care home for youngsters called “A Touch of Home” located in Brock. I met Tammy years ago and from day one knew she was a mover. A nurse at the time we bought and sold four homes together in four years as she upgraded each time. We finally found the care home she has now built with her husband Gord.
Myself working with Tam and Gord I have seen the tremendous hard work that they go through every day to make lives great for these kids with MS to Spinal Bifida… I thank them for allowing me to convert some of my talent to something that helps these kids. From driving their new bus to becoming a licensed Disabled Ski Instructor. The reward you feel when a kid says to you “that was the best day in my life” and you know that they mean it… this can’t be beat. This year we also went rock climbing, wheelchair basketball, baseball, boating and raised big bucks at the “Habitat for Humanity “dinner. One thing I would like to ask for whoever takes the boat is that you allow me to use it once a month to take the kids out. Yes... I will be careful with it!
One thing Tam loves me for is the fact that when I see a kid in the street in a wheel chair I go up to them and ask if they want to go skiing… ok she doesn’t really like me doing that as we are getting a lot of kids… but the more the merrier and we have turned no one down. So if you know a kid with a handicap and I don’t care how mobility challenged they may be… call me and I will put you in touch with Tam

 The market is hot… It snuck up on me and bit me in the butt about two weeks ago… I was doing a reno on my rental on Hollyburn not paying much attention as that is the usual Christmas happening in real-estate, then bang, walked into the office only to hear that  everything was moving fast. Then the calls started coming to me… not so many sellers but a lot of buyers. They are right… now is the time, things are heating up and so are interest rates. They say no raise till mid 2010 but I believe that as soon as more signs of economic growth occur the banks, they will raise. My line of credit just got raised one full %. So In my opinion now is the time to purchase a home for investment or to upgrade. Best deals are to be found in Westsyde and Brock. Great fixer uppers in North Kam and student rentals available in South Kam. Some duplex's are presently rented for 2100.00 per month on the south shore.
